Audio-Technica releases a wireless version of the popular M50x

Audio-Technica M50x

When the Audio Technica M50x first hit the market, it was intended to be catered to sound professionals as it was engineered to be studio monitor headphones. But over the years, it has easily become some of the best headphones for serious audiophiles. Audio Technica has recently announced that the beloved M50x will be re-released but in a wireless version.

The new M50xBT will have the same build and audio quality as the original M50x but with a Bluetooth connection built in.

“Although our M-Series models were originally designed as professional studio monitor headphones, they’ve crossed over into the consumer market to the extent that they’ve become a favorite of music listeners worldwide,” said Bob Peet, Audio-Technica U.S. Marketing Manager. “The ATH-M50xBT offers the same sonic signature that has made the ATH-M50x an audio industry standard, along with the convenience of on-the-go wireless operation.”

The ATH-M50xBT a closed-back system will deliver an exhilarating wireless listening experience with extraordinary clarity, extended bass, and smooth, wide frequency response. The new M50xBT will have a 45mm driver to help it display a wide frequency range of 15 – 28,000hz, as well as deliver studio-quality accuracy and musical enjoyment. The M50xBt will utilize rare-earth magnets and Audio-Technica’s copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils that were used in the previous M50x.

The M50xBT will be built with Bluetooth 5.0 and will be compatible with aptX and AAC codecs to provide the best possible wireless audio reproduction. It will have an internal battery of up to 40 hours on a full charge which gives its users to experience high-fidelity wireless sound without any interruption. The M50xBT will keep the M50x’s robust construction, fold-flat design with 90-degree swiveling earcups, and high-grade earpads and headband, with of course added controls on the left earcup for controlling music and phone calls.

The Audio-Technica M50xBT is available now for US$199.00
