E3 2018: Ubisoft officially reveals The Division 2

The Division 2 - E3 2018

Microsoft had plenty of highlights during its conference this year. One of those highlights is the world premiere of Ubisoft’s The Division 2. Check out the world premiere trailer below!

Unlike the original game, The Division 2 will take place in Washington, D.C. But it’s not just the setting that’s changed. The game looks to get away from the dreary Winter setting for something more sunny and warm. There’s not a single hint of ice and snow in this game.

Not to mention, the game will take place seven months after the release of the deadly virus in New York City. This time around you’ll be playing veteran Division agents who must retake the capital from enemy factions. Other than that, The Division 2 looks and plays the same as its predecessor. That means that the interface, loot, and multiplayer focus will remain the same.

Let’s just hope that The Division 2 has a better launch than its predecessor. Much like DestinyThe Division launched with a limited amount of storyline and features. However, the game did win back most of its fans through a series of expansions and extensive updates. As a result, the game is still going strong 2 years after its launch back in 2016.

Not only did Ubisoft reveal the gameplay walkthrough trailer but it also revealed the release date too. The game will officially come out on March 19, 2019. With the game releasing next year, Ubisoft announced that sign-ups for the beta are now open. You can sign up for the beta by clicking here.

In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Washington DC is in crisis, and it’s up to Agents of The Division to pull the city back from the brink.
