Pokèmon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee revealed!

Pokèmon Let's Go Pikachu

A short while ago Nintendo confirmed the release of its newest Pokèmon games for the Nintendo Switch. Pokèmon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee will have fans returning to the Kanto region for a new adventure. The trailer shows off a new art style and looks like it’s meant to introduce a new generation to the original Pokémon world. In light of the recent leaks, the confirmation came from the official Pokèmon twitter account.

The games seem to be remakes of the Pokémon Yellow Version that launched almost 20 years ago. Whether or not these entries will be complete remakes or new adventures is yet to be seen, but more information will likely be shown at E3. Either way these early looks at the game seem to be hinting at a larger change to the Pokémon series overall. While Pokémon Let’s Go looks like a spin-off, it could be hinting at the future of Pokémon.

Not only does this confirm the titles of the new games, it also highlights some new features. In addition to Pokémon Go integration, the games also showcase local co-op. Furthermore, Pokémon GO players are able to transfer Pokémon between the app and the games. Not only that but Nintendo also featured a new peripheral to be launched alongside the games. It appears to be a Pokéball that allows players to control their character in the game as well. It also seems to pair with the Pokémon Go app as a new way to catch Pokémon.

You can check out the trailer below to take a look at everything that is to come. More information is likely to surface in the coming months. Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee both launch on November 18, 2018. Just in time for the holiday season.
