There’s action galore in the final Deadpool 2 trailer

Deadpool 2 - Poster #3

Although everyone is eagerly waiting for the OTHER superhero film that co-stars Josh Brolin, 20th Century Fox wanted to remind everyone that there’s another highly-anticipated film that’s also coming soon. That film is Deadpool 2. Today, Fox released the final Deadpool 2 trailer for everyone to enjoy. Check it out!

This time around, the latest trailer essentially focuses on two things, the action and the new characters. This isn’t the non-stop laugh riot that’s we’ve been accustomed to.

First, we see the interview process for Deadpool’s X-Force. It’s basically here that we see our introduction to Bedlam, Shatterstar, and Domino… And Peter. Even though Domino doesn’t really look like her comic book counterpart, Bedlam and Shatterstar definitely do.

Not to mention, there are a lot of action scenes in this final Deadpool 2 trailer too. Judging by the trailer, the chase scene is going to be a really long scene. Either that or they gave away the entire scene in the trailer. Nevertheless, director David Leitch is definitely putting his own personal stamp on the stunt work here. After all, he is the man that gave us John Wick and Atomic Blonde.

But let’s not forget that even though the trailer is full of action sequences, this is still a Deadpool movie. There’s a ton of jokes and jabs at other comic book movies. Among them is the Thanos joke close to the beginning of the trailer. We know that Josh Brolin is playing both Thanos and Cable so it was only a matter of time before Deadpool did a mention of that. Then there’s the swipe at the DC Universe for being “so dark.” Obviously, this is in reference to the criticism that the DCEU films are too dark.

And on top of all that, tickets for Deadpool 2 are finally on sale.

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18th.
