Russo brothers think Secret Wars would be ‘worth doing’ if Fox deal closes

Marvel fans around the world are waiting on the Fox and Marvel deal to finally close. This would allow Fox properties such as X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool to be brought over to the MCU, making all of their biggest properties tie together on the big screen. During an interview with Linernaute, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and its untitled sequel co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo stated that they would be interested a Secret Wars film once the Disney-Fox deal finally closes.

When asked what they would like to do next, Anthony Russo said that a Secret Wars film could be “worth doing,” saying, “If Disney’s takeover of Fox ends, it’s a lot more characters to work with at once, it might be worth doing something like Secret Wars.”

This would be an epic crossover if the deal goes through, then the Russo brothers sign on to produce or direct film. With their track record in the Marvel Universe, they could be exactly what the Fantastic Four need to get back on their feet in the film industry.
