Pacific Rim Uprising in 4DX will have you feeling the action

Pacific Rim: Uprising Poster #2

Pacific Rim Uprising is now available in theaters, and if you want to experience the film in the most immersive way, then you need to head down to your nearest 4DX screening of the film. (Check local listings at cj4dx.com.) The film features giant Jaegers and Kaijus fighting all around the world, and 4DX presents the best way to experience the film.

Pacific Rim Uprising takes place 10 years after the events of the first film. Humans use Jaegers, giant mechs controlled by pilots, to help them fend off the giant Kaiju monsters. (Yeah, just like the Power Rangers.) The humans have survived, but of course, another treat arrives that can wipe humans off the face of the earth.

With the combination of motion seats and effects surrounding you, you will feel like you’re right in the action. When a Kaiju roars, the seats will shake with the wind blowing against your face. There’s one Jaeger with fiery blades, and you will feel the heat. When a Jaeger is fighting, you will feel as if you’re sitting on its shoulder, and when they get hurt, you will feel the hit. (Don’t worry, you won’t get hurt.) There is a scene involving snow, and the theater special effects produced snow-like weather inside the auditorium. (Don’t eat the fake snow!) Of course, the theatre special effects will depend on the theatre, since the pricier 4DX seat models and effects are available¬†only in certain theaters.

Check out Nerd Reactor’s Mark Pacis’ review of the film¬†here. And you can watch our video of the 4DX experience and review below.
