Enter the OASIS with these totally radical Ready Player One footage

Ready Player One - Tye Sheridan

We’re a little more than two months away from the release of Ready Player One. What a better way to promote the film than by releasing not one, but THREE videos featuring new footage from the film. During the AFC and NFC championship games on Sunday, Warner Bros premiered a brand new TV spot for the film titled, Odyssey. Check it out!

If you happen to find the Easter egg within the TV spot above then you probably found the featurette below. If you didn’t then don’t worry, Warner Bros released it just for you. The featurette revolves around legendary director, Steven Spielberg. Not to mention, we get an awesome look at why he’s so influential to every 80s and 90s kid. “I could not have written Ready Player One and if I had not grown up on a steady diet of Steven Spielberg movies,” said writer Ernest Cline. “It would’ve been a different story or I might not have written it at all.” Check it out!

Of course, what I want to know is where can I listen to that orchestral remix of A-ha’s “Take on Me?” But that’s not all!

Finally, we have the final TV spot that aired during NFL Championship Sunday, titled Change the World. Very fitting of a title, if you ask me. Check it out!

Ready Player One is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But the people have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world. When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery, and danger.

Ready Player One hits theaters on March 30th.
