Ready Player One - Poster #2

Well, this is something that no one expected to see today. But we’re glad that we did. Sure, there are many fans are eager to see Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War next year. Yet there’s a small indie film that’s coming out next year directed by an upcoming director named Steven Spielberg. Of course, I’m kidding, though.

For those that do not know, the world of Ready Player One is full of pop culture references that us geeks can recognize. Much of that influence comes from the mind and films of Steven Spielberg. Seeing Spielberg direct this film is such a dream come true for every geek out there. Not to mention, the fans of the book as well! Without further ado, check out the Ready Player One trailer below!

Along with the trailer, Warner Bros released the brand new poster for the film. Check it out!

From your very first viewing, you can already catch many of the pop culture cameos within the film. You can find Ryu, Chun-Li, and Sagat in the trailer. In addition, you can also find Tracer from Blizzard’s Overwatch and the RX-78-2 Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam. I could go on and on, but much of the fun of the trailer is finding it for yourself.

So how many Easter eggs did you catch in the Ready Player One trailer? Sound off with your finds in the comments section below!

With the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But the people have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world. When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery and danger.

Ready Player One hits theaters on March 30, 2018.
