Earth’s Mightiest Heroes battle Thanos in the incredible Avengers: Infinity War trailer

Avengers: Infinity War Trailer #1 - Thanos

After the trailer tease and the poster reveal yesterday, the day that you’ve been waiting for is FINALLY here. Today is the day that’s been 9 years in the making. It’s the day that the Avengers: Infinity War trailer has finally come to the viewing public. Finally, you don’t have to watch anymore leaked trailers. Not to mention, you being tricked into watching a fan trailers either. No, this is the real deal folks!

Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Falcon, War Machine, Bucky, Wong, Okoye, and Thanos all make an appearance at some point in the trailer. That’s a lot of characters. So without further ado, here’s the very first Avengers: Infinity War trailer!

Thankfully, the trailer is vastly different than the one from the shown at D23 and Comic-Con. First, hearing some of the cast recite Nick Fury’s line from the original Avengers is an amazing way to begin the trailer. Just listening to Robert Downey Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Chris Hemsworth, and Scarlett Johannson say the “bring together a group of remarkable people” line definitely put a huge smile on my face. My regret to you is that you weren’t able to see the incredible footage of Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet to destroy a moon and then plunge it towards our heroes. I guess Marvel is saving that one for the next Avengers: Infinity War trailer.

Also, for those keeping track of what Infinity stones Thanos has, he currently has the Space and Power stones. Thus, we know that Xandar is toast since they currently possess the Power stone. We also see in the trailer how Thanos acquires the Space stone (thanks, Loki). He also could potentially have the Mind stone as well if Corvus Glaive successfully rips the Mind stone from Vision’s head.

Does the trailer also confirm that Wakanda possesses the Soul stone? There has to be a reason that Thanos’ army is invading Wakanda. I’ve said it before, as well, the Soul stone is a perfect way for T’Challa to speak to the dead in Necropolis. Not to mention Doctor Strange looks like he’s on the run alongside Tony and Banner. It makes sense since he currently possesses the Time stone inside the Eye of Agamotto. This leaves the Reality stone unaccounted for inside The Collector’s vault.

Pretty epic, wouldn’t you say? I’m going to go ahead and watch this a gazillion time today and something tells me that you will too.

So what did you think of the Avengers: Infinity War trailer? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below!
