Here are the 4 best Black Friday tech deals this 2017

Thanksgiving weekend is known as the biggest shopping weekend of the year that starts on Black Friday. This year’s shopping holiday actually holds some of the best offers that I have seen by national retailers in a very long time. So I am going to go category by category with the best deals you can grab this holiday season.

Video Game Console

You can get a PlayStation 4 for $199 nearly everywhere this holiday season, but there’s only one place offering $60 with it. Kohl’s is offering $15 in Kohl’s cash for every $50 you spend, which basically gives you $60 in Kohl’s cash along with the deal for the Sony console.¬†The PS4 lets you watch Blu-rays, play the latest games, and stream all your favorite apps including¬†PlayStation Vue and Netflix so you can enjoy your favorite shows. It has a 1TB hard drive, so you can store plenty of gaming files including the large VR files.

Best Smart Home Device

The brand new Google Home Mini plus is only going to be at Walmart for $29 (regular price: $49), and it will include $25 off Google express order. If you haven’t had a Google Home or Amazon Alexa before, this is a great way to start with hands-free help in any room. Google Home Mini is powered by the Google Assistant, so you can ask it questions and tell it to do things. Just start with “Ok Google” to get answers from Google, tackle your day, enjoy your entertainment, and control your smart home. And when you ask for help, it can tell your voice apart from others for a more personalized experience. Google Home Mini works on its own or you can have a few around the house, giving you the power of Google anywhere.

Best TV Deal

Best Buy is offering a Sony 60″ 4K Smart TV for only $599. Sure you can get some off-brand TV olow-qualityty television for a lower price, but the Sony 60X690e currently holds a 4.6/5 stars on Best Buy’s website. Having gone to the store and comparing it to the other Black Friday models on display, the sales guy was absolutely right in swinging me to go after this TV. Not only is it a 4k LED, but it has a basic smart TV interface that gives you direct access to Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and a few other streaming apps. It also has Motionflow XR 240 which creates a smooth, natural image, and the smart IP operating system streams media directly to your TV. You can also plug your media device/portable hard drive right into the USB ports and play your backed-up films off of it. With the Dynamic Contrast Enhancers, the black and white balance really stand out compared to other TVs in its range, giving you some of the best color schemes available.

Video Games

Best Buy really seems to be holding some amazing deals on some of the newest games this season for both PS4 and Xbox One. On either format you can get the following at a low price:

  • Call of Duty: WWII – $40
  • Destiny 2 – $30
  • FIFA 18 – $30
  • Madden NFL 18 – $30
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of War — $30
  • NBA 2K18 – $30

Sure there are some other great deals on iPads and wearables, but these are by far the best based on quality, performance, and popularity. And they might not all be the cheapest, but a great TV and a great console will be something you keep for a long time.
