Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic now compatible with Xbox One

Star Wars: Knights of the Old RepublicStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic ranks as one of the greatest RPG games of all time. At least, this writer believes it is up there with the best in its genre. When it came out in 2003, it had all the elements of a fantastic RPG game including a solid story with twists, fun gameplay, memorable music and good graphics. Now, the same game is compatible on Xbox One.

Simply pop in the original disk into the Xbox One to play. But the console does not play the game off the disc. Rather, the disc triggers a download.

Someone wrote on Reddit, “Yeah, the disk triggers a download of the game, so technically it doesn’t need the disk, but they make you use it as an authentication tool.”

As an alternative, people can still buy the game off the Xbox Store. So there is no reason not to try.

What else is there to know about KOTOR? In terms of storyline, it just feels like a deeper version of the Star Wars movies. For most of the game, there is a huge mystery that keeps the player guessing and wanting to find more.

It is an RPG with lightsabers!

Plus, it has an assassin droid named HK-47 that absolutely steals all the best lines. Think about that one droid named K-2SO in Rogue One and multiply him by 10 on the mean-sarcasm level.

Furthermore, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is for sale on smartphones and Steam too, making KOTOR available for practically everyone who wants a copy (except Nintendo console owners).

12 other Xbox games are now compatible with the Xbox One as well, and you can check it out here.
