Game & Talk Ep. 52: Nintendo Direct 9.13.17 Recap

Thanks to last week’s Nintendo Direct, my dreams of putting B.J. Blazkowicz on a Nintendo episode of Game & Talk have finally been realized. After going into some non-Nintendo news (because we swear we’re not just a Nintendo podcast), we go over every single announcement made during the Direct, ranging from 20 seconds to 30 minutes each topic. Trust us, we care about EVERYTHING!

After going into some non-Nintendo news (because we swear we’re not just a Nintendo podcast), we go over every single announcement made during the Direct, ranging from 20 seconds to 30 minutes each topic. W start the episode off with Alan ranting about the main problem PlayStation has that Xbox doesn’t: backwards compatibility, or lack thereof. Since Microsoft has been making a big deal about playing your old Xbox and Xbox 360 games on Xbox One, isn’t it time for PlayStation to give up their PS Now service and start giving the people what they want (including the ability to change our PSN names)?

After that, the rest of the episode is dedicated to last Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct, where they devoted time to talk about their upcoming software for Nintendo 3DS and Switch. The conversations ranged from Minecraft on the new 3DS and Mario’s nipples in Super Mario Odyssey, to Doom and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus getting surprise support for the Switch. Bethesda, we love you; now change your review policies.

l love to play games and write stuff about them. I can't play something and not tell anyone how I feel about it. Call it a sickness, because it is.
