Long Beach Comic Con 2017 is happening this weekend

Long Beach Comic Con

Southern California is home to many big conventions including San Diego Comic-Con, Anime Expo and Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con. However, there’s one that I really dig that feels more intimate and can get really lively with special guests, exhibitors and cosplayers. That’s Long Beach Comic Con, and it’s headed to the Long Beach Convention Center this weekend on September 2nd and 3rd. Of course, Nerd Reactor will be there, and we’ll be shooting our next cosplay music video. (I can’t wait to share this with you all very soon!)

And now, here are some tips for attendees going to Long Beach Comic Con 2017.

Show hours:
– Saturday, Sept. 2: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm (Advance Ticket holders at 9:30 am)
– Sunday, Sept. 3: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (Advance Ticket holders at 9:30 am)

Each year, the show features plenty of cool vehicles, and you’ll get to check them out this year with movie-themed and replica cars outside the main entrance. If you’re hungry, there’s plenty of gourmet food trucks outside. Space fans can check out the SpaceExpo, which is at 1447 just to the left of the exhibit floor entry. Cosplay Corner is to the immediate right of SpaceExpo. And if you want to get your stuff signed by celebrities, the celebrity signing area is behind the two booths toward the back. The Geekfest Film Festival is located to the left of the exhibit hall in room 103A.

For those wanting to take in the sights of cosplayers and models, there’s the Fashion Show on Sunday at 11:30 am (2nd floor 202A “The Wardrobe”) and the Cosplay Contest on Saturday at 7 pm (202A 2nd floor “The Wardrobe”).

Gamers can play and compete in the South Bay Gaming area on aisle 500 and Competitive Gaming area on the right side of entry near aisle 200.

If you love burgers, there’s Burger Con that runs from 5 pm to 10 pm. It’s on the first floor and to the right of the exhibit hall entry.
