The Walking Dead season 8 trailer brings war

AMC released The Walking Dead trailer to the eighth season today at San Diego Comic-Con. In the trailer, Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) begins with a warning that everyone is going to shit their pants. Oh, he was not kidding.

As the trailer continues, we see the people of Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom prepare for war a against Negan and the Saviors. Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is shown leading the people from Hilltop and Ezekiel (Khary Payton) with his soldiers of the Kingdom. Of course, we cannot forget the ultimate battle again the undead.

Rick (Andrew Lincoln)  who brought the three communities together, delivers a blazing, inspirational speech as we see scenes of each important character in battle mode: “That bigger world is ours, by right. Those who use and kill, we end them. Everything we’ve beaten, everything we’ve endured, everything we’ve risen above, everything we’ve become — no matter what comes next, we’ve won. We’ve already won!”

The trailer also has a comical moment with fan favorite, Jerry (Cooper Andrews), as he thanks Ezekiel for being a “cool dude”. Thank you, Jerry.

At the end of the trailer, we see Rick as an older man with a longer beard laying in bed with a cane next to him. It looks to be a dream sequence, but with The Walking Dead, anything could happen.

The season is said to finish the comic book arc All Out War. So, be prepared for an intense battle.

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, October 29 on AMC.
