Dissidia Final Fantasy NT fighting game coming to PS4 early 2018

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT
E3 is just around the corner. In addition, it has become commonplace for many companies to make upcoming game announcements the week prior to the event. It’s been 30 years since our first adventures as warriors of light, and Square Enix isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The company has just released a trailer for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. Again the 3D fighter will pit the biggest characters from all the Final Fantasy games against one another.

The Dissidia franchise has been around since Sony’s handheld days with the PSP. And it showed success overseas and in the States, becoming one of the better selling games on the by-then-dated hardware. 10 years later as a part of Square Enix’s 30-year celebration, it is bringing all the warriors of light and villains back once again to answer the questions fans have: who would win in a fight?

Over 20 Final Fantasy Characters

This current iteration is stating that fans will have over 20 legendary Final Fantasy characters to choose from. They’ll be able to build their team of 3. Furthermore, summons will also play a part in combat as players will have access to Ifrit, Shiva, and Odin. Based on the trailer, the combat and gameplay look very similar to its handheld predecessors. That’s definitely a good because it’s unlike any other fighting game in the market currently.

While in combat most attacks will deal temporary damage that can be healed via abilities or natural regeneration. In order to win, players will have to land specific “HP”-based attacks that will convert this into permanent HP damage.

While Dissidia Final Fantasy has been in arcades in Japan for a while now, it appears to have done well enough to earn itself a home console version to be released worldwide.

Check out the trailer below and let us know which warriors of light and darkness will you be taking to the battlefield.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is currently scheduled for an early 2018 release exclusively on PS4.
