Watch Marvel’s Doctor Strange on Netflix now

Doctor Strange
Yes, that’s correct! Doctor Strange is out on Netflix! If you haven’t seen this 2016 blockbuster hit yet, then it’s about time you did! Not only did this movie top off at 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, it finished with a total box office gross of $677.7 million. That’s not as much as the Avengers franchise, but it’s pretty damned solid for a solo character.

Actually, if you think about it, it is quite impressive since Doctor Strange isn’t necessarily seen as an A-Class hero when compared to Marvel’s other characters. On that note, Iron Man also had small beginnings back in 2008 and look where he is now. Robert Downey Jr. may only play Tony Stark on the big screen, but almost everyone that sees him knows him as Tony Stark. Because of this sudden upgrade in celebrity status that occurs with Marvel movies, I wouldn’t doubt it if everyone started seeing Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange.

If you want a little background on who Stephen Strange is, here’s a little excerpt about who and what he’s capable of:

“The character’s origin story relates that he was once a brilliant but egotistical surgeon. After a car accident severely damages his hands and hinders his ability to perform surgery, he searches the globe for a way to repair them and encounters the Ancient One. After becoming one of the old Sorcerer Supreme’s students, he becomes a practitioner of both the mystical arts as well as martial arts. Along with knowing many powerful spells, he has a costume with two mystical objects—the Cloak of Levitation and Eye of Agamotto—which give him added powers. Strange is aided along the way by his friend and valet, Wong, and a large assortment of mystical objects. He takes up residence in a mansion called the Sanctum Sanctorum, located in New York City…” (via Wikipedia)
