STRAFE movie trailer is all kinds of cheesy ’80s action awesomeness

STRAFE movie trailer
If you’re a fan of “Kung Fury” and “Danger 5,” then be prepared for the STRAFE official movie trailer. And like the previously mentioned short film and series, the STRAFE movie trailer pays homage to the cheesy ’80s action films. It’s a great viral marketing video made to promote the video game that pays tribute to Doom and Quake. And before you even ask, yes, the game has a ’90s theme with an ad inspired by another decade.

Alright, let’s check out the nostalgic and epic STRAFE movie trailer below:

Shotgun, Skateboard, and Monsters, oh my!

Who knew a Virtual Boy under the right circumstances can literally transport a player into the game? Yeah, that’s just nuts.

Did the trailer do enough to sell you on the “most epic game ever”? Then perhaps someone who has ties to the game will help influence you.

“STRAFE® changes everything you’ve ever known or will know about STRAFE®,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “It’s the next generation of the last generation and we’re not all that sure gamers will be able to handle that sort of power.”

Devolver Digital and Pixel Titans’ game is advertised as “the best game ever on PC and Playstation 4,” “bleeding edge graphics and gameplay,” and “the megahit from 1996.”

Synopsis: As a Scrapper on an impossibly dangerous mission at the edge of the galaxy, you only have one life to navigate all the nightmarish terrains of STRAFE. When you die, nothing will ever be the same again. STRAFE is a roguelike first-person shooter pushing the limits of computer-generated photorealism and hardcore sci-fi action into unimaginable territory. With virtually no load times and infinite replayability, just choose your gun and be instantly blown away by face-melting speed, endlessly challenging levels, and the upcoming modes like MURDERZONE, SPEEDZONE, and STRAFEZONE.

STRAFE is now available for the PC, Mac and PlayStation 4. You can purchase the game at http://strafe.devolverdigital.com.
