13 Reasons Why season 2 is officially confirmed

13 Reasons Why
Fans have been wondering if there would be a 13 Reasons Why season 2 ever since the release of the first season on Netflix. The show has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans, and it’s been trending. The 13 Reasons Why Twitter account has announced that the story isn’t over and that a second season is coming.

It’s time to celebrate! The show is renewed for 13 episodes for the second season and will premiere in 2018. According to Deadline, Brian Yorkey, who wrote the adaptation and was the co-showrunner for the first season, will be the second season’s showrunner. (Diana Son was also the showrunner of the first season.)

The first season had students trying to deal with the suicide of their classmate, Hannah Baker. The second season will continue their journey as they try to move on with their lives.

The Netflix show is based on the 2007 bestselling young adult book by Jay Asher. It follows Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) as he discovers mysterious tapes inside a box from Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford). Each tape reveals a person in Hannah’s life that led her to the path of suicide. Clay, who has feelings for Hannah, will soon discover who he can or cannot trust in Liberty High.

Selena Gomez executive produced the show. Paramount Television produced the series for Netflix.

There are some who thinks that the show glorifies suicide, but the show does a tremendous job of tackling the tough subject matter. With that said, it has really been the talk of the town. The series has been creating discussion, especially for us on the site. The 13 Reasons Why community has been one of the most supportive groups out there. And I want to personally thank every single one of them. They have been very patient and have been going along with us for the ride. If you haven’t yet, please go check out our reactions and reviews to the show below. It has been a roller coaster ride of emotions.
