Pandora – The World of Avatar animatronic is the most impressive yet

Pandora - The World of Avatar animatronic
Pandora – The World of Avatar is almost here. Guests will be able to explore the world of Pandora starting on May 27 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. If you can’t wait, some outlets were able to get a preview of the attractions. In the highlight videos from Inside the Magic, we get to view two different Pandora – The World of Avatar animatronic Na’vi figures. They both look very realistic and are definitely impressive.

The video below is from the Na’vi River Journey ride. Disney always has interesting queue lines, and the one here transports you to the world of Avatar. Once you reach the end of the line, you’ll be able to step inside a small boat, kind of like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride but smaller. (It’s great for those wanting a more intimate experience.) The jungle is luminescent with vibrant neon colors when at night, and it becomes lively with creatures roaming all around. Near the end of the video, we get to see a Na’vi in tune with the jungle around her. It’s very lifelike yet haunting.

For the queue line in the Flight of the Passage ride, there’s a sleeping Na’vi inside the water-filled tube. Disney sure knows how to make waiting in line fun. The little details are amazing, like when the body twitches.

Pandora – The World of Avatar is based on James Cameron’s Avatar, the film that made 3D in cinema mainstream. Earth’s natural sources are exhausted, and it’s up to the humans to find an alternative energy source. Thanks to unobtanium, the humans have a chance at survival. However, the sought-after mineral is located in Pandora, the habitable moon orbiting a planet in the Alpha Centauri star system. It’s home to the Na’vi, who are cautious of the human visitors.

The Avatar Sequel Will Premiere in 2020

Fans of the film will have to wait some years for the sequels. Avatar 2 hits theaters on December 18, 2020; Avatar 3 on December 17, 2021; Avatar 4 on December 20, 2024; and Avatar 5 on December 19, 2025. As for now, they can visit Orlando, Florida, and check out the Pandora – The World of Avatar animatronic figures.
