Hayden Christensen returns to Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars prequels are a divisive topic for people. Either Episodes I, II and III are vigorously defended or slammed harshly by critics. Hayden Christensen in particular took a lot of heat for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. (Search for Mr. Plinkett and his unflattering Star Wars reviews on YouTube.)

Other fans argue the actors worked with a poor script. Perhaps Christensen needed stronger direction from George Lucas as well.

Now 35-years-old, Christensen seemed to have disappeared from Star Wars and the movie business in general for a while. He had not appeared at Star Wars Celebration since 2002.

Well, Christensen is back for the next one. Star Wars Celebration runs from April 13-16 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. To the delight of prequel supporters, Christensen will attend and interact with fans once again.

Here is an excerpt from the press release:

“Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), star of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, returns to Celebration for the first time since 2002. Christensen will also meet fans and sign autographs at the show.”

Excited?

Before the filming of the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi, rumors circulated that Christensen would return as a “Force Ghost” in the new sequel. Those rumors eventually died down.

With Christensen returning in a public Star Wars forum though, the rumors are heating up again. Some speculate The Last Jedi crew filmed secret scenes with Christensen, where he possibly gives Luke Skywalker sage advice.

Speaking of Luke, Mark Hamill plans to attend too. Father and son are reunited at last!

Star Wars Celebration never stays in one place. Each year, the location moves around (like how a ship visits different planets while going on adventures). For information on tickets, visit the official convention website at www.starwarscelebration.com.
