Injustice 2 new Shattered Alliances trailer shows Supergirl’s story

Injustice 2 has released its third Shattered Alliances trailer, giving us a peek at the story of Supergirl and showing how she has become the hero of ‘The House of El and is standing against Superman’s oppressive regime.

In this universe, The Joker has caused Superman to kill a pregnant Lois Lane by accident. Fueled by rage and anger, Superman crosses his ethical boundaries and kills the Joker, deciding to rid the world of all evil and becoming a tyrant. Batman stands against it, and sides are formed between the Justice League with Batman’s insurgency having mostly non-powered heroes. If you remember the first game and have read the comic book series, Green Lantern has become a Yellow Lantern, Green Arrow is dead, and the Flash was also part of Superman’s regime later turning to the resistance.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 offers the latest DC fighting game experience that expands on the previous title‚Äôs larger-than-life showdowns. Every battle defines you in a game where players personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. For the first time, gamers can take control of how their character’s look, fight and develop across a variety of game modes.

Injustice 2 continues to follow Batman and his resistance team as they continue to fight and fix their world. Injustice 2 will be available on May 16, 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
