Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds public memorial happening next weekend
Todd Fisher, son of Debbie Reynolds and brother to Carrie Fisher, has announced the public joint memorial for the iconic actresses next Saturday, March 25th in Hollywood. The memorial will take place at Forrest Lawn Cemetary in the Hollywood Hills where both Reynolds and Fisher are buried. The ceremony, held at the Hall of Liberty, will be held in a 1,200 seat theater and will be a first come, first serve basis.
Blunt, who had a close relationship with Fisher, will unveil a tribute song that will be played on track over a photo montage. The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and dancers from the Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio will perform at the event. There will be costumes and memorabilia on display. Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd, singer James Blunt, and Fisher’s beloved dog, Gary are expected to attend.
If you cannot make it, the event will be available to stream live at Reynold’s website here.
