Ubisoft unveils new trailer and open beta release date for Ghost Recon Wildlands

I’ve been a long time Tom Clancy fan, and I don’t just mean the books either. To my credit, I’ve played almost every iteration of Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell. You can only imagine then how excited I am for the upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands. This will be the biggest open world game for Ubisoft to date. The closed beta for the game has come and gone, but don’t worry, you’re not out of luck.

In this new trailer released by Ubisoft (shown below), they’ve announced that the open beta is coming this week! From February 23 – 27 to be exact. You’re probably thinking that for the first day, you might end up spending it just downloading due to overload on the servers. Not to worry, as Ubisoft has you covered by letting you preload the game starting from tomorrow, February 21st.

With the open beta happening so close to the game’s official release date of March 7, it’s easy to assume what we’re playing is practically a demo. Ubisoft has stated that beta players will have access to 3 “exclusive” missions called the “Unidad Conspiracy.” For those that end up purchasing the game after playing the beta, these missions will now be unlocked for them, which is where the exclusivity comes in.

All I know is that I can’t wait to get my hands on the game. With The Division feeling like it’s tapering off, Wildlands will be there to pick up the slack and then some. Ghost Recon Wildlands hits stores on March 7th for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
