Kieron Gillen to write new James Bond comic book special
Bond is back! Ok, we don’t really know when Bond will be back in films and who will play him, but in the meantime we can read about his adventures in the pages of comic books. In fact, writer Kieron Gillen will be telling a new story featuring the suave agent of MI6 for Dynamite Entertainment titled James Bond: Service.
Here’s a description of the book: In contemporary politics, where Britain’s world standing is often more zero than 007, an assassin plans to exterminate the “special relationship,” and lead Britain and the United States into a very dark place…especially when he does so by aiming down the sights of an ancient Enfield rifle! It’ll test Bond’s deadly talents to their limits, in order to defeat the assassin and avert certain geopolitical disaster…
Gillen will be the fifth writer to work on Dynamite’s Bond universe joining Warren Ellis, Andy Diggle, James robinson and Benjamin Percy. Artist Antonio Fuso will join Gillen on the project.
James Bond: Service will be released as an over-sized 48-page special, solicited in the March 2017 Previews catalog and slated for May release.
