Hasbro plans to release BIGGEST (literally) Transformers toy of 2017!

Is there any other toy franchise that can immediately draw your attention by just saying the words, “More than meets the eye”?

Even before the popularity of the film franchise that begun back in 2007, Transformers were a staple in the toy chests of every child (or man-child; don’t judge). If you wanted your children to understand the complexity of way toys were made, then you definitely passed down the love and fascination that only came with figuring out how to transform your favorite childhood heroes into their warrior counterparts. Seriously, I still have an older Optimus Prime figure that frustrated not only myself, but every adult I handed over to figure out how to transform it. Now, it just sits on the shelf, looking down on me, mocking me. Wow, I have issues…with toys, no less.

But I digress. Hasbro has been creating a mountain of a series with their Titans Return line, as Nerd Reactor got a chance to chat with the design manager of their Transformers team, John Warden, last year at SDCC. Their steam seems to be ramping up, as Hasbro has just announced that, coming this fall, the latest figure will make its debut, and at none other than the grandest toy stage of them all: this year’s New York Toy Fair!

The Decepticon known as Trypticon will be released, and is said to be the largest figure in the 2017 Titans Return universe, as well as the biggest Decepticon figure ever made!

The towering T-Rex mech, Trypticon converts into a trio of powerhouse modes: dino, spaceship, and city. In each of its forms, Trypticon can outperform most Decepticons in the entire series! As a T-Rex, it can “eat” Titan Master figures, where you can later open up his stomach to get them out. When the figure is in city mode, it actually connects to Titans Return Leader Class figures (each sold separately) to form the giant Nemesis Command. The figure is so large, that with even with all the awesomeness that Trypticon, it can also house storage for some of your accessories in its tail! In its tail!

So if you’re excited like me, then hold on to your seats and strap in for a wild ride, because once this towering Decepticon is released, there may be no hope for the Autobots!

The Transformers Generations Titans Return Trypticon Action Figure will retail at $149.99, and will be available this fall. Check out the full resolution images below!
