Joby Harold to write new script for ‘The Flash’

While Wonder Woman and Justice League are set to premiere this year, the scarlet speedster is stuck in development hell right now. There hasn’t been much traction on The Flash ever since Rick Famuyiwa left the project over “creative differences” with Warner Bros. However, Warner Bros is taking the film in a different direction as Variety is reporting that the studio has hired Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) to do a page one rewrite of the script. Talk about starting from square one, again.

Joby Harold’s credits including the upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Robin Hood, and The Twilight Zone movies.

Executives have been biding their time with finding a replacement director. As Ezra Miller gets ready to shoot Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2, Warner Bros decided to work on a new script in the meantime.

The Flash stars Ezra Miller (Barry Allen/The Flash), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West), and Billy Crudup (Henry Allen).

What are you hoping to see in Joby Harold’s script? Sound off with your ideas in the comments section below!

The Flash speeds into theaters on July 27, 2018.
