EVO 2017 to include Street Fighter V, King of Fighters XIV, Injustice 2, and Tekken 7

The lineup for this year’s Evolution Championship series has been revealed. Mike Ross and Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar announced that EVO 2017 will feature nine different titles, but only eight were revealed.

  • Street Fighter V
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
  • Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2
  • The King of Fighters XIV
  • Injustice 2
  • BlazBlue: Central Fiction
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee

So what about the ninth slot? It was revealed that final slot will be decided by the players. By making a donation to Generosity.com, the game with the highest amount will be added to the lineup and include a $10,000 cash prize for the winner.

The titles you can choose from include:

  • Mortal Kombat XL
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
  • Skullgirls
  • Pokkén Tournament
  • Killer Instinct
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo
  • ARMS
  • Windjammers
  • Nidhogg

As of this writing, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is in the lead with $3,303 with Killer Instinct right behind with $2,777. Arms, the upcoming Nintendo Switch title, is currently in third place and would definitely make for an interesting tournament if it somehow wins.

EVO 2017 will be held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas from July 14th-17th.
