‘Into the Badlands’ star Daniel Wu added to ‘Tomb Raider’ reboot

Into the Badlands star Daniel Wu has been announced to join the reboot of Warner Bros’ latest adaptation of Tomb Raider, starring Alicia Wikander as Lara Croft.

The film will be directed by Norwegian director Roar Uthaug and is set to be released on March 18th, 2018. Variety has announced that Wu will play Lu Ren, a shop captain who partners with Croft as she finds her father.

Warner Bros. will co-produce the film with MGM and GK Films. MGM and GK Films acquired the rights to the video game. Graham King of GK Films will also serve as producer. Paramount Pictures previously released two Lara Croft films in 2001 and 2003, starring Angelina Jolie.

Wu can be seen next in AMC’s Into the Badlands this spring.

Good news. I really want that red coat. Too bad Daniel Wu wasn’t cast in cbs Rush Hour. That was a series that should have been a gold mine for years. Instead they cast the wrong actor to replace Jackie Chan.
