Sorry, Persona 5 or Yakuza 0 won’t appear on Steam or the Nintendo Switch
You might have heard the rumor somewhere online that Sega might be porting Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 to Nintendo Switch and/or Steam. Well, community manager John Hardin, from Atlus U.S.A., recently squashed any notion of those rumors recently on Twitter:
Persona 5 platforms: PS3, PS4.
Yakuza 0 platforms: PS4.
No Switch. No PC. Idk about the box label, that's a Sony thing. pic.twitter.com/8R3Qj36deA

So what brought on this rumor? It seems that both games were lacking a sticker used to show whether the game was a PlayStation 4 exclusive release or a Console exclusive, which, now through the Twitter announcement, we now know that the game is only available on the PS3 and PS4. You know, not on the upcoming Nintendo Switch, Steam or Xbox One.
In the past few years, we’ve seen an increased number of video game publishers porting games to Steam soon after the game’s initial release. The brunt of the Persona series have been exclusive to the PlayStation ever since the original PlayStation with the launch of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment back in 2000. All four currently released games have been ported, but only to the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita.
As for Yazuka, the first two games did get ported to the Wii, but that was only released in Japan, with no other games appearing on the system again.
So, to enjoy Yaukza 0 later this month, you’ll need to own a PlayStation 4, and a PS3 or PS4 to enjoy Persona 5 in April.
