PewDiePie faces backlash in recent video
Gamer and Pop Culture YouTuber PewDiePie is facing a backlash from the Twittersphere for his recent video I WON AN AWARD!
In the video, PewDiePie (real name Felix Kjellberg) celebrates being #18 on Youtuber TC Candler’s video The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2016. As he is celebrating being number 18, Kjellberg could be heard jokingly almost saying the N-word but is cut off just before completing it.
There are some people upset by this comment and have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts using the hashtag: #PewDiePieIsOverParty, which has been trending. Fans of the YouTuber created a counter-hashtag #PewDiePieIsNotOver.
Kjellberg has not responded to the comments, but recently tweeted some advice for his 9.63 million followers:
happiness is positive thinking. enjoying the little things. appreciating what you have and realizing it is a choice you can make today.

Kjellberg is no stranger to controversy. He recently threatened to delete his YouTube channel, once he reached 50 million subscribers, last month over YouTube’s content changes. According to him, the new changes had caused his videos to perform poorly. In the end, Kjellberg deleted a secondary channel and declared it a joke.
