Sony set sights on Independence Day weekend 2019 for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming 2’
After the massive success of Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s trailer launch yesterday, Deadline is reporting that Sony has announced that Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 will be web-slinging into theaters on July 5, 2019. History tells us that a studio’s decision to announce a sequel before the film has even come out doesn’t really fare well for the first film. It happened with Green Lantern and the Fantastic Four reboot but something tells me this is a vote of confidence in Feige’s creative vision for Homecoming.
Hopefully, Sony will still be willing with work with Marvel Studios and further their relationship. Time will tell, though.
With Spider-Man: Homecoming 2‘s announcement, this inevitable pushes Bad Boy 4 to an earlier release date. The Will Smith and Martin Lawrence fourquel will now drop on Memorial Day weekend. Bad Boys 4 is another sequel where its previous installments haven’t come out yet. Joe Carnahan’s
