Jimmy Fallon is a huge nerd and it’s not unusual for Nintendo to showcase upcoming things on the Tonight Show. Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aimé was a special guest last night, giving Jimmy the chance to go hands-on with the upcoming Super Mario Run.

Super Mario Run was announced this year as a free-to-play title that will be released on the iPhone, which will be available to download next week. Reggie has a few surprises in store for Jimmy. The first surprise was to let Jimmy know that Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto was in the audience (with Bill Trinen sitting right next to him), and after completing one stage, there was one another big surprise.

Reggie revealed that he had brought along the Nintendo Switch. It’s the first time the system has been shown since its announcement outside of the Nintendo reveal video back in October. Reggie showed off what the system is capable of while showcasing the highly anticipated title “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.”

It’s fun to watch Jimmy Fallon act like a little kid wanting to get his hands on it. I would honestly feel the same way knowing that it was right there in front of me. Nintendo is set to show off more of the Nintendo Switch in January where we will get to see a lot more information on the system and titles that are currently in development for it.

The Nintendo Switch is set for release in March 2017 and the wait definitely seems worth it!
