At the start of the Persona 5 live stream, it was announced by Atlus USA president Naoto Hiraoka that Persona 5 will be delayed from February 14th to April 4th. It’s to give the localization team more time to improve the quality of the game’s script. Hiraoka apologized to the fans for the delay, mentioning that the fan anticipation went far beyond what they originally expected, leading them to want to really deliver on the final product.

It was also revealed that thanks to the delay, Atlus will be adding more voice dialogue to the game than originally planned, and that it would be also including Japanese audio DLC to the game free when it finally releases.

Atlus is also giving away a free Persona 5 theme and avatar of Ryuji Sakamoto for 24 hours which you can get here.
