A closer look at the upcoming Power Rangers reboot movie toys

Last week we got our first look at the new Megazord in toy form from the upcoming Power Rangers reboot film. Seeing a photo isn’t enough to really get an in-depth look at the figure, so it’s a good thing that Youtube channel MMPRToys goes into detail about the new interactive Megazord toy. These are being released by Bandai of America, which will be handling the release of the movie toy line.

The interactive Megazord, which stands at about 17 inches tall, will be released this holiday season at Toys R’ Us. (You can pre-order now.) These will light up and include five mini Power Ranger figures which can be stored in various areas of the Megazord, which serve as cockpits.

Its design has been heavily debated, but with the movie coming out in March, that could potentially change when we see it in action. Like I said, “could.”

While MMPRToys showed off the back of the box with each individual Zord, Power Rangers Now has released a better quality image that shows off all five zords to get a better idea of how they will look like in the film.

And finally, we take a look at the Power morpher from the film.

Similar to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series, the Power Morpher will include five coins that you can place into the center. What’s interesting about the ones we’ve had a chance to see before is that you don’t really see the image until pressed against light. The Power Morpher will light up and play sounds.

Legendary Pictures and Saban’s Power Rangers is set to release on March 24, 2017.
