Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King coming January 20

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is heading to North America on January 20, 2017, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. It’s a remake of the PlayStation 2 game released in 2004 that adds two new playable characters, new dungeons, the ability to speed up battles, a photo mode, a quick save feature and a new alternate ending.

Originally set to release later this year, Nintendo delayed the┬árelease to 2017, which was a good move especially since Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten was released back in September. It gives JRPG fans time to enjoy Square Enix’s other releases including World of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy XV later this month.
