Two and a half years ago, Latino Review broke a scoop claiming that they had the title for the upcoming stand alone Batman film, and that it would be titled The Batman. Well, it looks like they were right. In a recent interview on his upcoming film The Accountant, Ben Affleck confirmed the title, which you can see in the video below as well.

“The movie I think is going to be called ‘The Batman’ at least that’s what we’re going with now. I might change it, but I think that’s about it right now, that’s all I got. We’re working on a script right now and the script is going well, I’m really excited about it. I assure you that when anything develops, you’ll hear about it.”

There are many rumors surrounding this film in regards to the storyline. Will it follow the Red Hood, maybe Hush, or Jared Leto’s Joker? The only thing we do know, is that Batman is the role that Ben Affleck was born to play, being consistently recognized for his stellar performance in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and we all definitely look forward to seeing what he does with The Batman.
