Yesterday during the Warner Bros. presentation at Hall-H, the first full trailer for the upcoming King Kong film was released. The new trailer gave an in-depth look at the film’s star-studded cast of Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman. This film is just one of the many moving parts that will lead to the big fight showdown between King Kong and Godzilla. While not much is revealed in the trailer, it does somewhat connect to Godzilla when John Goodman explains that long before man roamed the earth, there were giant monsters that ruled it. This concept was first introduced the 2014 Godzilla movie. Rumor has it, that the special kaiju military unit “Monarch” will appear in the film, which will help establish the cohesive universe between both franchises.

There is no word yet if we can expect to see Kong venture to New York or if there will be other Toho monsters in the film. One thing is for sure though, we can expect this Kong to be the biggest one in franchise history. Kong: Skull Island is expected to hit theaters March of 2017.
