Free Windows 10 upgrade coming to a close

On July 29th Microsoft will pull its offer of a free upgrade to Windows 10. So anyone who is still on Windows 7 or 8 after the 29th will have to cough up some cash to be upgraded. With the Windows 10 upgrade facing much ridicule and a $10,000 lawsuit (which Microsoft lost), this has been in the works for some time now, but some can’t wait for that day to come.

The Windows 10 notifications have been very annoying to many Windows 7 & 8 users. But now they see a light at the end of that tunnel and it is just over 3 weeks left. Now some poor saps, like me, were forcefully upgraded without our knowledge, hence the $10,000 lawsuit.

If you plan to upgrade after July 29th, you will be paying $119 for Windows 10 Home version and $199 for Windows 10 Pro. So even if you think you want to update at a later time, do so now or before the 29th. As the date gets closer, Windows will bombard you with full-screen pop-ups asking you to upgrade.

Are you glad that the pesky pop-up will soon disappear? Let us know.
