Yooka-Laylee trailer released but delayed until Q1 of 2017

Yooka Laylee 1

From the folks that brought us Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie, they now brings us a new open-world platformer, Yooka-Laylee. With just over a week before E3 starts, Playtonic Games decided to release an E3 trailer. This hopefully means that a demo can be played during E3.

Along with the trailer release, they sent out a press release stating that the game will be delayed until the first quarter of 2017. It was expected to be released October 2016, so hopefully it’s in the early parts of the first quarter than the later. The reason is that they want the game to be polished and that should be good news to the gamers.

I know I wouldn’t want a game that has too many bugs in it. And believe me, there have been many big companies that have released a game unfinished with many bugs just to meet a deadline. Guerrilla Games took the same approach yesterday and delayed the release of Horizon Zero Dawn.

They also said that Kickstarter backers will still receive their “spoiler free” demo in July.
