Get scared with a virtual reality experience from The Conjuring 2!


With the recent release of the HTC Vive, the latest VR headset that has engrossed our culture with its technological and home entertainment opportunities, many companies and industries have tried to capitalize on its success. One of those industries that have been creeping its head out and testing its luck with the new technology is the film industry, as many filmmakers are throwing their hats in the ring to make virtual reality short films. One of those instances, most recently, was the animated short, Pearl, created by director Patrick Osborne. Well, now James Wan is wanting to jump on the progression train, and is scaring the pants off of fans, worldwide!


James Wan’s The Conjuring 2, starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, has released a new trailer utilizing the unique 360-degree ability to give fans who have the VR headsets a special treat. The trailer, after a brief introduction by James Wan, himself, you are transported inside the Hodgson’s house from the upcoming film. Once there, incredible visuals and unforeseen jumpscares occur that would make a grown man shriek, giving filmmakers and studios a chance to see how the technology can be used to improve teasers for upcoming movies.
