Awesome story images, character names, and details revealed for ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’

We’re only a couple of months away from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story from hitting theaters in December. Like any Star Wars film, details about Rogue One are being kept under lock and key until Lucasfilm is ready to reveal more. However, thanks to the guys at /Film (via jedi-bibliothek.de) we finally have some concrete and juicy information regarding some of the heroes and villains that will appear in Rogue One.

So who are the rebels tasked with stealing the Death Star plans?

  • Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones): a skilled warrior.
  • Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna): a Rebel Alliance officer.
  • Baze (Jiang Wen): an assassin for hire.
  • K250 (Alan Tudyk): An enforcer droid.
  • Chirrut (Donnie Yen): a spiritual warrior.
  • Bodhi (Riz Ahmed): a rebel soldier.
  • Pao (CGI): an alien creature described as a fierce warrior.
  • Bistan (CGI): another fierce alien warrior.

The only hero to pay attention to is K250. He’s been revealed to be an Empire droid that is captured and reprogrammed.

As for the evil Imperial villain?

  • Director Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn): Director of the Imperial army.
  • Death Troopers: Elite empire forces with the sole purpose of thwarting enemy Rebel Alliance forces.
  • Stormtroopers: Elite empire forces with the sole purpose of thwarting enemy Rebel Alliance forces.

There aren’t much of the villains in terms of information, but if you browse through the gallery below you may find an interesting, but not surprising, character cameo that will appear in Rogue One.

That’s right. Lord Vader will be making an appearance in Rogue One and will undoubtedly make things incredibly difficult for our rebel heroes as they try to steal the Death Star plans.
