Lupita Nyong’o in talks to join Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’

Lupita Nyong’o is fastly becoming one of Hollywood’s most sought after actresses. It was only a matter of time before Marvel looked to her in a potential role in one of their films. After all, she would be staying in the Disney family after starring in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney’s The Jungle Book, and Disney’s upcoming film, The Queen of Katwe.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Marvel is currently in talks with Nyong’o to star alongside Chadwick Boseman in Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther. There’s no word yet on who she would be playing but it’s believed that she would be playing T’Challa’s love interest in the film. Considering that Marvel Studios won’t be able to use Storm, it will probably his on-again, off-again girlfriend Monica Lynne.

Who is Monica Lynne? She is a singer that was first introduced in Avengers #73 (“The Sting of the Serpent”) and they’ve been in and out of each other’s lives ever since.
