Syfy greenlights Superman prequel pilot, Krypton

krypton

It’s been reported before that Syfy and David S. Goyer were working on Krypton, a Superman prequel series taking place at his home planet. Now we have Syfy officially announcing that it has greenlit the pilot. Krypton will follow Superman’s grandfather, who must redeem the ostracized and shamed House of El while also saving the world from chaos.

Goyer (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Man of Steel, The Dark Knight trilogy) will be the executive producer for Krypton under his Phantom Four banner. Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow) will be the executive producer and showrunner, and Colm McCarthy (Peaky Blinders) will direct and co-executive produce the pilot. The pilot’s teleplay and story are written by Goyer and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). The show will be produced by Warner Horizon Television.

Are you looking forward to Krypton?
