Nintendo NX coming worldwide in March 2017

Mama Mia! Nintendo has revealed that its next gaming platform known as the Nintendo NX will be released in March 2017. The best thing of all? This date is set globally.

There is one interesting thing about this announcement. It reveals that the company won’t be showing off this new console at E3, instead the company will be focusing on the release of the next Legend of Zelda title.

With the console coming in less than 11 months, it’s odd that it won’t be shown at a big event like E3, but I am sure Nintendo has some type of plan leading up to the release.

“For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed ‘NX’ with a brand-new concept. NX will be launched in March 2017 globally.”

The news was broken by Wall Street Journal reporter Takashi Mochizuki, who was on hand at the Nintendo briefing in Osaka and shared some very interesting tweets.

Which are you more excited for, the new Legend of Zelda game or the NX?
