Kevin Feige reconfirms Marvel Studios to have creative control for Spider-Man: Homecoming
With Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures teaming up to give us Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, people were wondering what role Marvel would have in helping with the Spider-Man: Homecoming movie. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said earlier this month that it’s a Sony production of a Marvel Studios film. That meant Marvel’s going to be hiring the actors, working on the script and shooting it.
Now in a new interview with HeyUGuys at the Captain America: Civil War UK premiere, Feige has confirmed again that Marvel Studios is in full creative control.
“Well, I’ve known all those people for a very long time,” he said. “Amy Pascal, Tom Rothman, who runs Sony now, I’ve known for years. So, it’s been great. They really are supportive in allowing us to make the creative decisions to make [Spider-Man: Homecoming], but they’ve been great partners. So far so good on that movie.”
As for when we’ll get to see Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury again, he says we’ll have to wait until after Thor: Ragnarok. Hopefully the movie following that.
