The film looks to establish more of the key relationship between Tony Stark and Peter Parker that started with Captain America: Civil War. Also with Tony Stark’s appearance, it appears that Marvel will continue to keep the Sony Spider-Man films strongly tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Could we see the much requested Iron Spider suit in the film?
It’s currently unclear whether the appearance will be a cameo or a full-fledged role – similar to Spider-Man’s role in Civil War. It’s so unclear whether he’ll appear in just Homecoming or its sequels.
Tom Holland will star as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Zendaya (Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up”) as one of the lead female roles, Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel) and Laura Harrier (CBS’s “One Life to Live”) as Peter’s best friends.
