Could this be the map for Red Dead Redemption 2?

Red Dead Redemption 3

“I’m your huckleberry.” – Doc Holiday

Before the release of the first Red Dead Redemptioby Rockstar Games, I watched the Western movie, Tombstone. I also watched 3:10 to Yuma as well in order to prepare myself mentally for the game; yes, I’m serious. Red Dead Redemption was released during a time when game titles were transfixed around Call of Duty and Black Ops. They were all modern FPS games that were a dime a dozen at that point and there weren’t really any old Western genre games. Red Dead Redemption changed that since there weren’t any open-world Old West-style games at all and its overwhelmingly positive reception only displays how awesome of a game it was.

If you’re a huge fan of the original game, then here are some news for you. This isn’t confirmed, however, but a leaked map from Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to have made its way into the hands of a user named Mideon at NeoGAF. The map looks massive and is a little north of the original’s map. You can see the comparisons below where Flat Iron Lake is in the north-eastern region, whereas the leaked image displays it on the south.

There are rumors going around that this second game is supposed to be a prequel to the first Red Dead Redemption. This is a possibility, however, we won’t know until it’s finally released. I do see some familiar markings from the first map in the south-western region (leaked map), but at this point all we have is speculation. Let’s just hope the second game is just as massive and has a deeper storyline that rivals the first. Red Dead Redemption‘s ending from the first game brought a tear to my eye and I hope the sequel does as well. Not that I’m into crying or anything…
