Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune creates Super Mario Maker level

While we still await the release (or any news) of Comcept’s Mighty No. 9, Polgyon has released a video showing Mega Man/Mighty No. 9 creator Keiji Inafune making his very own level in Super Mario Maker on the Wii U.

As part of Polgyon’s “Devs Make Mario” series, Inafune talks about how the Mario games have really sensitive controls compared to Mega Man games.

“In my stage, I tried to focus mostly on the interesting challenge of jumping, and not so much on knocking out turtles,” Inafune said. “I also wanted to include some mechanics from other Mega Man games, or like Mighty No. 9, so I concentrated on the jumps.”

He also wanted the level to feel kind of retro, choosing the Super Mario World skin because he feels the recent ones feel too “modern.” You can watch the full video below.
