Final Fantasy XV Deluxe and Collector’s Edition revealed

The Final Fantasy XV Uncovered event gave us 15 reasons to get excited about the game. One of those reveals was the game’s release date, September 30, 2016.

Yes after 10 long years of limbo, Final Fantasy XV (formerly known as Versus XIII) will finally arrive later this year. One of the last announcements really had the Shrine Auditorium erupt. Square Enix would release a Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy XV, which includes a steelbook featuring artwork from Yoshitaka Amano, a copy of the Kingsglaive CGI movie, and bonus content for the game for $89.99.

But that didn’t stop them from cheering even louder. The Ultimate Collector’s Edition was announced which includes the Steelbook, Brotherhood and Kingsglaive on Blu-ray, a special soundtrack, in-game item packs, and an exclusive Noctis Play Arts Kai figure for $269.99.

Only 30,000 of the Ultimate Collector’s Edition will be made available worldwide. If you followed the stream or our Twitter, you heard that it went up at 9 p.m. PST and sold out almost immediately for the PlayStation 4, and shortly after for the Xbox One.

The Deluxe Edition is still available to pre-order, but as of now the Ultimate Collector’s Edition is something you want to keep an eye out for.
