New trailer for Metroid Prime: Federation Force, the game fans aren’t excited for

Metroid Prime: Federation Force hasn’t been very well-received by the fans since it was first revealed during last year’s E3. This isn’t surprising. The reason for all the ‘hate’ comes down to a pretty simple fact, fans want a new single-player Metroid game starring Samus Aran, not a four-player co-op game shooter/sports game.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force’s biggest strength is also its biggest weakness. I say this because it’s already been 9 years since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was last released (and the lackluster Other: M in 2010), making it a long wait for everyone’s second-favorite bounty hunter (first if you don’t count Boba Fett).

The game actually looks enjoyable as a spin-off title, especially since I really enjoyed the Metroid Prime series. I really didn’t care much for the Federation Force, Metroid Prime Blast Ball sports game at all, but the single-player looks enjoyable though I could do without another multiplayer game.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force is slated for a Spring 2016 release on the Nintendo 3DS.
